Anna in Pencil

Hi everybody! I wanted to share with you a drawing I did recently. It's of Anna from Frozen (as you can hopefully tell!) and I did it one afternoon with pencil. I'm actually really pleased with how it came out. It's not perfect, but I haven't drawn in awhile and am glad I sat down and took the time to practice! :)
Have you seen Frozen? What did you think of it?

  2. WOWWOWWOW!!!! That is just AMAZING! And you said it wasn't perfect?!!!!!
I have never seen Frozen (I'm not really one for animated movies) but I've seen pictures of Anna and I think the picture you drew is just such a striking resemblance! It's so well drawn, Nathalie! I feel like saying "Congratulations". :P

  6. Excellent portrait, Natalie! I just did my first piece of fan art, and I kept asking everyone: does it look like the people? But as my younger sister pointed out... If they think the picture looks like the characters, great and if they think you simply did it from your imagination, wonderful. Either way it is a complement. :)

    1. Hello Natalie!
My fan art is from the epic classic "High Noon". Very fitting since it is one of my two favorite movies of all time.. Have you ever seen it? And I am planning on, Lord Willing, posting the sketch soon. :)

    2. I have seen High Noon! I can't say it was my favorite movie, but it was good!
I can't wait to see your art!! Especially since it's of something I've seen. :)
I assume it's of Gary Cooper and/or Grace Kelly as they are in the movie-I love actors and actresses from "back then". :)

  14. OH MY GOSH!!!!!!!! I'm freaking out right now!! I just came to your blog from a comment you posted on Daughter of the King's blog. The reason? YOU HAVE ANNE SHIRLEY AS YOUR PROFILE PICTURE!! Ok, the reason that this is so crazy to me is that one: I love Anne. Two: I am named after her! My middle name is, " Ann with an E." I don't expect you to publish this comment. :) I just wanted to tell you how excited you made me.
P.S. Concerning your comment on Daughter of the King about Disney movies; I love them! We are always singing and quoting them at my house. You can never be to old to have an adventure with Flinn Ryder (a.k.a. Eugene Fitzherbert) or fly on a magic carpet with Aladdin and Abu. Yes! I'm a Disney dork!
    P.P.S.
    Your drawing is great!

Haha, I love Anne too!!! It's always so nice to meet a fellow Anne lover! You're so lucky to be named after her! I plan on naming my future daughter with the name Anne. :)
Oh yes, I love Disney animated films.....anyone who says you're too old for Disney obviously hasn't watched them! :) Have you seen Frozen?
