Ella in colored pencil

I thought that in accordance with the beautiful blog party going on at Along the Brandywine, I'd share with you all a colored pencil drawing I did of Ella from the 2015 Cinderella. I drew this immediately after the ball scene in that movie (I actually hadn't even finished the movie before I got out the pencils and paper hahaha). I guess I really fell in love with her dress! ;) And, just for the record, drawing her skirt is reallly fun. All that blue and purple is sooo beautiful!

ps. I'm sorry if you notice that she has a weird outline around her. I had drawn a purple background on the original paper and it looked horrible. So...I had to cut her out of it, paper doll style. Oh well. :)

  1. Wow. Beats anything I could do. It's so beautiful, I love how the colour fades out lighter in the bottom. Well done!

As if Cordy would know anything about art... (Do you recognize that line? I did change it a little bit.)
Much better than anything I could ever do! EVER!

Hmm....part of me thinks that line is familiar and yet....I can't quite place it. :/ Sorry!

    2. No problem, it's just the artist guy in the new Cinderella. I knew it was a stretch when I asked but I thought the line was fitting. :)

    3. Ohhh, okay. Haha. I've only seen the 2015 version once, so that may be why I didn't recognize it. :)

  9. That is so beautiful! It looks just like her. I like colored pencils too :) And sometimes you do have to cut a thing out for it to look right! I've had to do it before.
